Anambra welcomes Oluremi Tinubu’s planned visit

Anambra State has warmly welcomed Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, ahead of her visit on Thursday, describing it as a sign that no state or region has been left behind under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Government and good people of Anambra State warmly welcome Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on her official visit to Anambra State on Thursday.

The main purpose of the visit is the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East zone. The initiative will provide food items and nutrition education for widows, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable nursing mothers and children.

Oluremi Tinubu will also commission an ICT Centre at Federal Polytechnic, Oko. The Anambra government described the facility as a state-of-the-art project intended to bridge the digital divide and equip students in Anambra and the wider South-East with skills in software development, data analysis, digital marketing, and remote work.

The visit is essentially for the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, South East Zone, which underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to inclusive development and the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

State Commissioner for Information Law Mefor said the visit demonstrated federal partnership with Anambra. The state government called the First Lady “Mother of the Nation” and said the programme and ICT centre reflected the administration’s commitment to inclusive development.
