Andrés Gómez Vela to launch book on democracy and power

Journalist and political analyst Andrés Gómez Vela is set to launch his new book, "Democracy: How It Works and Why It Leads to Happiness," on Tuesday, July 28. The essay offers a reflection on the functioning of democracy beyond electoral processes. The launch event will take place at the National Chamber of Industries in La Paz and is expected to draw readers, academics, and those interested in political discourse. Published by Editorial 3600, the book posits that democracy should not be viewed solely as a mechanism for choosing rulers.
