Andrew Garfield has reignited hope among fans for a potential 'The Amazing Spider-Man 3,' confirming his interest in reprising the role of Peter Parker. However, the British actor insists his return hinges on a truly innovative and unexpected creative approach.

Speaking on The Playlist's podcast 'The Discourse,' Garfield expressed a desire for a project that is "very weird" and "completely unexpected." He mused about the possibility of a Spider-Man film that breaks the mold, perhaps even taking the form of a road trip movie, a concept far removed from the typical superhero narrative.

Garfield's multiverse appearance alongside Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' has fueled continued public interest in his version of the character. Beyond a solo sequel, he has also voiced enthusiasm for joining the animated 'Spider-Verse' franchise, of which he is a self-proclaimed fan.

His portrayal in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' films and his subsequent multiverse cameo were noted for incorporating elements closer to the original Stan Lee and Steve Ditko comics, including Peter Parker's self-designed mechanical web-shooters.
