Ankara Resident Kills Assistant Building Manager in Fatal Apartment Dispute

A violent incident unfolded in Ankara's Öveçler neighborhood when a resident fatally shot the assistant building manager. The altercation occurred on Şehit Cevdet Özdemir Street, where Ayhan Koç, the assistant manager, was engaged in a dispute with Mehmet T., a resident of the same building.

The argument escalated, leading Mehmet T. to produce a firearm and shoot Koç at the entrance of the apartment building. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the scene following the incident. Medical personnel confirmed that Ayhan Koç had died from his injuries.

Authorities, including a public prosecutor, conducted an on-site investigation. Koç's relatives were present and visibly distressed. Following the forensic examination, Koç's body was transported to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute. The suspect, Mehmet T., was taken into police custody, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting is currently underway.
