ANSES Begins Paying $70,000 Bonus to Retirees on Tuesday, Sept. 8: Who Qualifies and How Much They Receive

Argentina’s National Social Security Administration, ANSES, begins paying September pensions and retirement benefits on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The monthly payments include an extraordinary bonus of up to 70,000 pesos for retirees and pensioners with lower incomes.

Benefits increased by 2.11% in September under the monthly adjustment formula. The minimum pension now stands at 428,633.20 pesos. With the full bonus, the total reaches 498,633.20 pesos.

People receiving the minimum pension qualify for the full 70,000-peso payment. Those with higher benefits receive a smaller bonus, calculated proportionally until their total reaches 498,633.20 pesos.

The listed September amounts include 370,043.24 pesos for non-contributory disability and old-age pensions after the full bonus, based on a benefit of 300,043.24 pesos. The Universal Pension for Older Adults reaches 412,906.56 pesos, including a 70,000-peso bonus on a base payment of 342,906.56 pesos.

The first payments go to retirees and pensioners below the minimum whose identity numbers end in 0. Non-contributory pension recipients with identity numbers ending in 0 or 1 also enter the schedule on Tuesday. For retirement and pension benefits below the minimum, payments continue by final identity number: 1 on Sept. 9, 2 on Sept. 10, 3 on Sept. 11, 4 on Sept. 14, 5 on Sept. 15, 6 on Sept. 16, 7 on Sept. 17, 8 on Sept. 18 and 9 on Sept. 21.

ANSES credits the bonus together with the monthly payment. Eligible recipients do not need to complete an additional application.
