Antalya Airport Murder: Retired Officer Visited Victim's Home Before Fatal Shooting

A shocking incident has unfolded at Antalya Airport, where a retired police officer allegedly murdered a woman he knew from his service days. The victim, identified as Elina Ş., a Georgian national and mother of two, died after being shot in the airport's second terminal parking lot.

Details emerging from the investigation reveal a disturbing sequence of events. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old retired police officer H.D., reportedly visited the victim's home prior to the shooting. When he could not find her there, he proceeded to the airport, where he encountered her in the parking area.

An argument ensued between H.D. and Elina Ş. in the parking lot. During the altercation, H.D. allegedly used his service weapon to fire at the woman. She sustained a critical head injury and was rushed to the hospital. Despite all efforts, medical professionals were unable to save her life.

Airport police apprehended H.D. at the scene, taking him into custody along with the weapon. Forensic teams conducted an examination of the crime scene.
