APC hails Yilwatda’s first year, predicts 2027 electoral victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) marked the first anniversary of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda's tenure as National Chairman, praising his leadership for fostering unity and strengthening party structures. A statement from the party emphasized that Yilwatda assumed office during a difficult period but initiated rebuilding efforts through reconciliation and reforms.

Within one year of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda’s leadership, the APC has witnessed remarkable progress in strengthening internal democracy, fostering reconciliation among members and repositioning the party for greater electoral success.

The APC credited Yilwatda's inclusive leadership style for enhancing cooperation within the party's National Working Committee, elders, and stakeholders. This approach, the party stated, has led to greater unity and renewed confidence among members. The reconciliation of aggrieved members and the restoration of internal harmony were cited as significant factors in strengthening the APC across the country.

Reforms at the National Secretariat have reportedly improved administrative processes, making them more transparent, accountable, and efficient. Party structures at ward, local government, and state levels have also been revitalized. The APC noted its expanded reach through engagement with youth, women, persons with disabilities, and grassroots supporters.

The party linked its increasing popularity to the implementation of President Bola Tinubu's "Renewed Hope Agenda." The party believes the progress achieved under Yilwatda has significantly boosted its prospects for the 2027 general elections.
