APC will sweep Edo LG polls – Deputy Governor

Edo Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa is optimistic that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will achieve a sweeping victory in the upcoming local government elections. Idahosa conveyed this confidence while addressing party faithful and leaders during the official declaration of the local government elections in the Ovia South West Local Government Area.

We are going to campaign in all the nooks and crannies of Ovia South West to ensure that APC wins the day.

The council elections are scheduled for July 11, following the release of the final candidate list by the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC). Idahosa emphasized that the APC has been actively engaging in grassroots mobilization and plans to campaign in every part of Ovia South West to secure a win.

We visited those three wards, and the turnout was amazing. This election will be keenly contested, but we are very sure that APC will win.

During recent campaign rallies, which included visits to Udo, Iguobazuwa East, and Iguobazuwa West wards, the APC presented its chairmanship candidate, Anthony Osarobo, and his running mate, Isaac Bakare. Idahosa described the turnout at these events as "amazing" and "encouraging," reflecting growing confidence in the party and its candidates. Osarobo also expressed satisfaction with the reception, stating that the high turnout indicates belief in Edo and the party's vision.
