The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is making its strategic moves for the 2027 general elections, with the release of its primary election timetable. This move, announced by National Publicity Secretary Ejimofor Opara and approved by the National Working Committee (NWC), signals a serious commitment to the electoral process.

The party has set a substantial financial benchmark for its presidential aspirants, pegging the combined cost of expression of interest and nomination forms at N75 million. This figure, alongside the fees for Senate, House of Representatives, governorship, and State Assembly seats, underscores the significant investment required to vie for political office within the APGA.

Furthermore, the adoption of the Option A4 voting system for the primaries on May 23 is a deliberate choice aimed at bolstering transparency and curbing electoral malpractices.
