Arcadia: Firefighters battle blaze in Pigadakia with aerial support

Emergency services are actively engaged in combating a fire that erupted in a low-lying vegetation area in Pigadakia, Arcadia. The blaze, which began around 6:15 PM, has mobilized a significant response from the Fire Service.

Twenty-five firefighters, along with a specialized ground unit and five fire engines, are on the scene working to contain and extinguish the flames. Aerial support is being provided by two aircraft, and water tankers from the Municipality of Tripoli are also assisting in the efforts.

The Fire Service confirmed the deployment of resources via their official Twitter account, detailing the units involved. Simultaneously, the Tripoli Fire Investigation Unit has been activated to determine the cause of the fire. Throughout the operation, a drone equipped with thermal and optical cameras is providing continuous monitoring of the situation.
