Areas of the country where a minimum of just 3°C is expected tomorrow

Paraguay is preparing for a significant cold snap, with the Directorate of Meteorology issuing warnings of frost and low temperatures expected across the entire country. The southern departments of Caazapá, Itapúa, Misiones, and Ñeembucú are predicted to be the coldest, with minimum temperatures as low as 3°C. In these areas, including cities like Caazapá and Encarnación, the weather will range from cold to cool with partly cloudy skies and winds from the southeast. Frost is anticipated during the early morning hours, with maximum temperatures expected to reach between 14°C and 15°C.

The intense cold will also affect the central and eastern parts of the country, including the capital, Asunción. These regions are forecast to have a minimum temperature of 4°C. Cities such as Villarrica, Coronel Oviedo, and Paraguarí will experience cold to cool conditions with partly cloudy skies and southeastern winds. Fog is expected in the early morning, and maximum temperatures will hover around 15°C to 17°C.

Further north, cities like Caacupé and Ciudad del Este will see minimum temperatures of 5°C. Caacupé is expected to have partly cloudy skies with morning fog, while Ciudad del Este anticipates partly cloudy conditions. Both locations will experience southeastern winds, with highs reaching 15°C to 17°C.

Even the northern and western regions, including San Pedro and Presidente Hayes, will feel the intense cold, with minimum temperatures around 6°C. These areas will have partly cloudy skies, morning fog, and variable winds, with maximum temperatures reaching 17°C to 18°C. In Concepción and Boquerón, the minimum temperatures will be 7°C, with partly cloudy skies and maximums around 18°C to 19°C. The least extreme temperatures are forecast for the northeast, where Salto del Guairá in Canindeyú will have a minimum of 8°C with morning fog.
