Government officials indicated that declaring a holiday would signify the team's intention to celebrate with the public from the Casa Rosada's balconies. While employees are expected to report to work on Monday as usual, the "homage operation" depends on the players' wishes, led by Lionel Messi. The provincial government has not yet confirmed any specific arrangements from Ezeiza Airport.

Presidential advisor Santiago Caputo suggested the executive branch's interest in organizing the celebrations, stating that opposing the team is "anti-Argentine." The government has also removed stones honoring COVID-19 victims from Plaza de Mayo in anticipation of a potential fan gathering.
