Argentina's Alfajor Championship comes to Buenos Aires with free entry and over 300 varieties

Buenos Aires will host the Argentine Alfajor Championship on August 8-9, 2026, transforming the Estadio Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverri into a haven for sweet treat enthusiasts. Over 80 artisanal producers from across Argentina, including Misiones, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Santa Cruz, and Mendoza, will present more than 300 varieties of alfajores.

Entry to the two-day event is free, allowing the public to explore the diverse offerings, participate in tastings, attend masterclasses, and witness live award ceremonies. The championship seeks to crown the best alfajor in the country, with a jury of specialists, gastronomic figures, and influencers evaluating the entries.

Beyond traditional dulce de leche and chocolate flavors, the competition will highlight creative combinations such as sardo cheese, roquefort and pear, and even spicy options. The event promises a family-friendly atmosphere with opportunities to discover and purchase a wide range of alfajores, celebrating the creativity and quality of Argentine artisanal production.
