Argentine Band to Honor Indio Solari with Livestreamed Concert Amid Grief

The band Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado announced they will proceed with a scheduled concert in Comodoro Rivadavia on Saturday, June 6, as a tribute to the late Indio Solari. The news came after Solari's death, which deeply saddened fans and the music community.

In a statement shared on social media, the band expressed their shock and grief but stated their "heart asks us to get together." They decided to maintain the concert and, unexpectedly, livestream it for fans nationwide and internationally. The band acknowledged the show would not be what they initially planned but felt gathering and being close to fans was the only "somewhat reparative" option.

"We are in shock. Like everyone. We don't quite know what to do. The harsh blow hits us, but dejected as we are, our heart asks us to get together," the musicians wrote. "We decided to keep tomorrow's concert and, although it wasn't planned, to broadcast it live for everyone. It won't be easy, nor will it be the concert we had planned, but getting together and being close seems like the only somewhat reparative thing. We love you, Indio…", they concluded.

The concert is set to begin around 9 p.m. at the Predio Ferial in Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut province. It is expected to feature numerous tributes to Solari and a review of his extensive repertoire. Fans can watch the livestream for free on the band's YouTube channel (@LosFundamentalistasOk).
