Argentine fans sell out flights to World Cup final destination

Argentine soccer fans have snapped up all available seats on special flights to the United States to support their national team in the 2026 World Cup final. Aerolíneas Argentinas responded to the surge in demand by adding two extra flights from Buenos Aires to New York following Argentina's semifinal victory over England.

The airline released tickets for these additional services on Wednesday night, and they were completely sold out by Thursday. "Everything sold out. There are no more seats for Miami either, with two flights a day," a company representative stated. The airline also increased capacity on the Miami route to facilitate connections to New York.

The special flights are scheduled to depart from Ezeiza Airport late Friday night and early Saturday morning, bound for New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. Both flights will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft. The highly anticipated final between Argentina and Spain is set to take place this Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
