Pop star Ariana Grande has secured a swift legal process in her lawsuit against hackers accused of stealing and leaking her unreleased music and private photos. A Los Angeles court has granted her request for expedited evidence gathering, allowing her to pursue the individuals responsible.

Grande filed the lawsuit in July against several hackers, whom she could not identify by name. She alleges they gained unauthorized access to devices to leak unreleased songs, recording materials, and music videos without her consent over several years. The hackers reportedly sold this stolen material on the "dark web" for significant profit.

Grande's legal team requested an expedited "third-party" discovery process, arguing that they have identified internet platforms and external entities whose services were used for the dissemination of the material and illicit transactions. These entities are believed to possess crucial information that will help identify the unknown defendants. The court agreed, stating it "makes no sense to wait" given the lack of specific defendants to notify.

The singer claims to have been a victim of this hacking campaign for years, with up to 45 unreleased songs reportedly leaking online in 2023 alone. Titles such as "Fantasize" and "That Bitch Is Mine" were among those leaked.

This legal action follows Grande's recent announcement of taking a break from her career after concluding her tour. She emphasized that this decision was long-planned and made thoughtfully. The singer has also faced public scrutiny regarding her appearance, with speculation about an eating disorder intensifying after the release of her latest album and music video.
