Aris draws 2-2 with Panserraikos in final home friendly

Aris FC played to a 2-2 draw against Panserraikos in their last friendly match held in Greece as they finalize preparations for the upcoming season. The game featured two distinct lineups for the "yellow-black" team, a strategy employed to manage player fatigue and assess different squad combinations.

Coach Michalis Grigoriou extensively rotated his players, giving significant playing time to reserves and resting several starters ahead of their match against Napoli on August 12. The defense saw several new faces and young players, with Mytikis in goal, supported by Haroupas, Kamtsis, Voriazidis, and Antoniadis. The midfield consisted of Galanopoulos and Basiro, with Diallo playing a more advanced role. Palacios and Donis were on the wings, and Moron led the attack.

The first-half lineup struggled with balance, particularly in defense, leading to Panserraikos taking a 2-0 lead. Teixeira opened the scoring from a penalty in the 11th minute after being fouled by Mytikis. Panserraikos extended their lead in the 40th minute through Bernardos, who capitalized on open space.

Aris showed more promise in the second half after significant substitutions. Alfarela pulled one back in the 51st minute with a well-placed shot from outside the box. The introduction of nine players around the 67th minute injected new energy into Aris, creating numerous chances. Mir, in particular, made a positive impression in his debut. The equalizer came late in the game when Kantevere set up Gianniotas, who scored from inside the penalty area to secure the 2-2 draw.
