Aris Eyes Masuaku for Defensive Reinforcement

Greek football club Aris is reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Arthur Masuaku, a left-back who has played for Sunderland and previously had a stint in Greece with Olympiacos. The Thessaloniki-based team is actively seeking to strengthen its defense as their pre-season preparations intensify.

Masuaku, a Congolese international, is currently under contract with Sunderland. He recently returned from a loan spell at Lens, where he made only six appearances. Reports from Congo suggest that Aris has identified the 29-year-old defender as a potential target, particularly after a previous transfer for a Croatian defender, Roko Jurišić, was canceled despite an agreement.

While Aris's interest in Masuaku is confirmed, the club has not yet submitted an official offer to the player. Masuaku is familiar with the Greek league, having played for Olympiacos from 2014 to 2017. Following his time in Greece, he moved to West Ham United, and has also had spells at Beşiktaş and Sunderland, with his most recent club being Lens.
