Aris: Liked it in the first half, but were thrashed in the second against Napoli

Aris FC concluded their summer preparation with a resounding 6-2 loss to Napoli at the Stadio Teofilo Patini, marking a disappointing end to their friendly matches. The Greek team presented contrasting performances across the two halves, struggling significantly in the second period against the Italian side.

Uroš Račić emerged as a standout player for Aris, netting both of the team's goals and consistently posing an offensive threat. Despite Račić's efforts, Aris found themselves trailing 2-1 at halftime. Napoli took the lead in the 19th minute through Rrahmani, but Račić equalized with a well-executed free-kick in the 41st minute. However, Napoli regained the lead just before the break when McTominay capitalized on a defensive lapse.

The second half saw Napoli assert their dominance. After substitutions, including the introduction of Kevin De Bruyne, the Italian team extended their lead. De Bruyne scored in the 58th minute, followed by two more goals from Lucca in the 65th and 74th minutes, making it 5-1. Račić scored his second goal in the 79th minute, reducing the deficit to 5-2, but De Bruyne added another in the 90th minute to seal the 6-2 victory for Napoli.
