Aris Thrashes Panthrakikos 5-1 in Preseason Friendly

Aris secured a convincing 5-1 victory over Panthrakikos in their initial friendly match on home soil at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium. The team displayed promising elements in their first test after training camps in Italy, showing a competitive spirit despite facing numerous absences.

Coach Michalis Grigoriou was without injured players Kouame, Moron, and Matar. Additionally, Palacios, Bassirou, Hongla, Mir, and Diop are still regaining match fitness. Some of these players are expected to feature in the upcoming friendly against Panserraikos on Saturday, but the return of the injured contingent remains uncertain.

Aris started strongly, with Ratsic opening the scoring in the 11th minute with a skillful shot from the edge of the box. Yanniotas doubled the lead in the 39th minute, capitalizing on a well-executed offensive play. Ratsic scored his second goal in the 54th minute, assisted by Yanniotas, extending Aris's lead to 3-0.

Panthrakikos managed a consolation goal in the 57th minute through Athanasopoulos. However, Aris extended their lead with a penalty converted by Gare, and Galanopoulos sealed the 5-1 victory in the 73rd minute, assisted by Boussaind.
