Armed attack at Küçükçekmece restaurant: 2 injured

An armed attack occurred at a two-story restaurant in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district on a recent evening, leaving two people injured. The incident took place on Altın Street in the Fatih neighborhood.

According to initial reports, a suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet entered the restaurant and proceeded to the upper floor. There, the individual shot a customer. The assailant then descended to the lower floor, where they encountered the business owner, Cumali K., who was attempting to investigate the commotion. The owner was also shot by the suspect.

Following the shootings, the attacker escaped from the restaurant on the motorcycle they arrived on. Emergency services, including multiple police units and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Paramedics provided first aid to the injured individuals before they were transported to a hospital via ambulance.

Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting an investigation at the restaurant and its surroundings. A manhunt has been launched to locate and apprehend the suspect responsible for the attack. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
