Armed attack targets auto gallery in Antalya after Istanbul incident

An auto gallery in Antalya's Kepez district was targeted in an armed attack on the afternoon of June 7, mirroring a similar incident earlier in Istanbul.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Serik Street in Altınova Mahallesi. A suspect, described as wearing a hat and having their face covered, opened fire on the auto gallery from beneath an overpass before escaping. Employees who heard the gunshots emerged to find the building hit by bullets.

Police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene following reports to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police cordoned off the area, and forensic teams began their investigation inside the business premises. Three bullet casings were recovered from the scene.

Authorities are actively pursuing the suspect, using descriptions provided by witnesses. This attack follows a similar armed assault on the Otokoç General Directorate in Istanbul earlier the same day. In the Istanbul incident, no casualties were reported, and police had apprehended two suspects.
