Missing 5-year-old girl found dead in garden pool in Diyarbakır

A tragic incident unfolded in Diyarbakır, Turkey, where a 5-year-old girl, Menesa Özel, was found dead in a swimming pool in her home's garden. The girl had been reported missing by her family the previous evening. After realizing Menesa was not in the house, the family conducted a search but were unable to locate her. They subsequently filed a missing person report with the Bağlar Gendarmerie Station.

Responding to the report, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the rural Tellikaya neighborhood. During the search, the water in the garden's swimming pool was drained. Menesa was discovered unresponsive in the pool. Medical personnel confirmed her death at the scene.

Menesa Özel's body was transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to ascertain the cause of her death. Following the autopsy, her funeral was held at the local cemetery, where she was laid to rest amidst tears. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the young girl's death.
