Arokodare Disrupts Wolves Training, Demands Fiorentina Move

Nigerian international Tolu Arokodare reportedly halted a Wolverhampton Wanderers training session by sitting on the pitch and refusing to leave. The striker demanded a transfer to Italian club Fiorentina. His protest on Monday prompted new Wolves manager Cesar Peixoto to cancel the training as the club prepared for the new season. Arokodare will not be part of the squad for Wednesday's friendly against Maidenhead United. This disruption comes after Wolves reportedly rejected an offer from Fiorentina for the forward, despite accepting a bid from Turkish club Trabzonspor. The incident marks another disciplinary problem for Arokodare during his time at the club. He was previously sanctioned in April after an altercation with young forward Mateus Mane. Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk for £24 million last summer but had a difficult debut season, scoring only three Premier League goals as the team was relegated. The situation presents an early challenge for Peixoto, who recently took charge after replacing Rob Edwards. Arokodare, a regular for the Super Eagles, has not publicly commented on the training ground protest or his future.
