Arsenal and stolen vehicles seized in Mazatlán; rifles, grenades, and thousands of rounds found

Coordinated security operations in Mazatlán have led to the discovery of a substantial cache of weapons and stolen vehicles. In the Lomas de Monterrey community, military and state police forces located two abandoned vehicles, a Mazda CX-50 and a Jeep Wrangler, both reported stolen. Inside the vehicles, authorities found an impressive arsenal. This included a Barrett M82 rifle, an AK-47, two M16 rifles, two shotguns, and a grenade launcher. Additionally, six 40mm grenades and a total of 3,230 live ammunition cartridges of various calibers were seized. Forty loaded magazines were also recovered. The recovered weapons, ammunition, and vehicles have been handed over to the Federal Attorney General's Office for further investigation into their origin and intended use. This seizure is part of broader security efforts in the southern part of Sinaloa state.
