'Art in Focus' Postcard Exhibition Invites Diverse Perspectives at Kavach Space

Kavach Space in Yogyakarta is hosting 'Art in Focus,' an exhibition that transforms the humble postcard into a canvas for profound ideas, emotions, and diverse worldviews. Running until August 31, 2026, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the theme 'Sight, Space & Stories,' emphasizing how individual perspectives shape our understanding of reality. The postcard format, chosen for its everyday intimacy and ability to convey significant messages within a small space, features works from 70 participating artists, totaling over 120 pieces. Creative Director and curator Antino Restu highlighted the medium's capacity to involve numerous artists and foster a more intimate connection with the audience. Each artwork serves as a message, bridging the artist's experience with the viewer's perception. The exhibition encourages a slower, more deliberate engagement, prompting visitors to look closely and discover the narratives embedded within the small-scale creations. Kavach Space, designed as more than just an eyewear retail destination, aims to be a hub for the convergence of design, culture, community, and creative practices.
