Arteta says he expects more reinforcements to arrive at Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signaled his intent for further squad reinforcements before the summer transfer window concludes. He insists the Premier League champions are ambitious and will not remain inactive while competitors make significant investments.

Arteta acknowledged the competitive nature of the league, stating, "The margins are very small. Because we want to get better and the level is going to increase. We need to increase the competition internally. We need to make sure we identify the things that we don't have in the team."

While Arteta declined to comment on specific transfer targets, such as Newcastle United's Bruno Guimaraes or Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr., his remarks confirm the club's strategy to enhance the squad. Arsenal has already secured goalkeeper Illan Meslier and forward Christos Tzolis, and defender Piero Hincapie has made his loan move permanent. The team begins its Premier League title defense on August 21 against Coventry City.
