Artist Hong Jong-ki captures life's traces in digital drawings at Daegu exhibition

Daegu's Ayang Art Center is set to host a solo exhibition by local artist Hong Jong-ki, presenting his digital drawings that translate everyday memories into art. Titled 'Days Gone By,' the exhibition will run from August 5 to October 10 at the center's Lobby Gallery.

Hong Jong-ki's artistic journey began with portraits and doodles, evolving into digital drawings that weave his real-life experiences into personal narratives. He uses familiar subjects and memories, reinterpreting them through his unique perspective. Through repetitive lines and intricate details, the artist builds layers of life's traces and emotions onto the canvas.

The exhibition will display approximately 10 of Hong's recent works, offering a glimpse into his past journey and personal growth. The title, 'Days Gone By,' signifies more than just a simple recollection of the past; it represents a reflection on the time that has shaped him into who he is today, as he prepares for a new chapter.

Hong aims to create a space where viewers can connect with his art and reflect on their own dreams and past experiences. The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and admission is free. The gallery is closed on Sundays.
