Artist Revaldo Fifaldi Arrested Again for Drugs; Ruben Onsu Not Yet Detained

Jakarta authorities reported on Tuesday a series of criminal incidents, including the re-arrest of artist Revaldo Fifaldi for alleged drug use and developments in the legal case against presenter Ruben Onsu.

Revaldo Fifaldi was apprehended by police on suspicion of using narcotics. According to AKP Wisnu Wirawan, Head of Public Relations for the West Jakarta Metro Police, an investigation was launched based on public information. During a search, police confiscated methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, leading to the suspicion that Fifaldi was involved in the abuse of crystal methamphetamine.

In a separate case, police confirmed that Ruben Onsu, who is a suspect in a alleged fraud and embezzlement case involving Rp3.5 billion, has not been detained. This decision was made because Onsu has been cooperative and is not hindering the investigation. Kasat Reskrim Polres Metro Jakarta Selatan AKBP Iskandarsyah stated that the suspect has not provided information contrary to the facts during questioning. Further examination of Onsu as a suspect is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police are awaiting the results of forensic laboratory examinations to ascertain the exact cause of Sutrimo's death. The investigation has involved the questioning of 27 witnesses thus far. Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kombes Pol. Budi Hermanto, indicated that the forensic results are pending.
