Arturo Vidal backs Chilean clubs UC and Coquimbo in Copa Libertadores

Arturo Vidal, a prominent figure in Chilean football and a star for Colo Colo, has voiced his support for two other Chilean clubs, Universidad Católica and Coquimbo Unido, as they prepare for their Copa Libertadores knockout stage matches.

Vidal shared his predictions in a video posted on his Instagram account, analyzing the upcoming fixtures. He expressed confidence that Universidad Católica would overcome Argentinian side Estudiantes de La Plata, despite acknowledging the difficulty of the tie. "It's difficult, but I'm going to stick with Católica. Católica has played very well in the Libertadores and when they've had to play away, they've done very well. I think they will advance," Vidal stated.

Similarly, Vidal backed Coquimbo Unido to defeat Platense, another Argentinian opponent. He described the match as a tough contest between two defensively solid teams but ultimately predicted a Chilean victory: "We're going for the Chilean. Coquimbo advances."

Beyond the Chilean clubs, Vidal also offered his predictions for other matchups. He anticipated a win for Flamengo, the club he won the Libertadores with in 2022, against fellow Brazilian side Cruzeiro. Additionally, he foresaw Rosario Central emerging victorious over Corinthians, highlighting his connection with Rosario's coach Jorge Almirón and player Vicente Pizarro, both of whom he previously worked with at Colo Colo.
