Arul Kumar appointed new Negeri Sembilan DAP Chairman

J. Arul Kumar, the assemblyman for Nilai, has been appointed the new Chairman of Negeri Sembilan DAP, effective immediately. He replaces Anthony Loke Siew Fook, who relinquished the position on August 3.

The decision for Arul Kumar's appointment was made unanimously by the Negeri Sembilan DAP State Committee, with only one candidate proposed for the role. Anthony Loke, who is also the Secretary-General of DAP, emphasized that the appointment demonstrates the party's ongoing commitment to multiracial politics, selecting leaders based on their qualifications and capabilities regardless of their background.

He pledged his full support as Secretary-General and as the Member of Parliament for Seremban to the new leadership, expressing confidence in Arul Kumar's ability to succeed in his responsibilities.

So I will give my support as Secretary-General and also as the Member of Parliament for Seremban will give full support to the new leadership, to the new chairman and I am confident he can carry this responsibility successfully.

Loke also mentioned that the DAP Chennah Service Center will continue its operations to assist local residents, including with government aid applications. He added that Arul Kumar and other DAP assemblymen will pay a courtesy call on the new Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Ismail Lasim, to discuss cooperation between the state government and the opposition for the state's stability and progress.

The signboard of the service center will be changed to DAP Chennah Service Center. So we are still maintaining our service in the capacity of the party, on the party's platform.

Arul Kumar expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him to lead Negeri Sembilan DAP. He acknowledged the significant responsibility and hopes for the support of all committee members to ensure the party continues to provide the best service to the people, even as they operate in the opposition.
