Asantehene to be special guest of at 2026 FIFA World Cup Business Summit in Canada

His Royal Highness the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is set to be the Special Guest of Honour at the prestigious 2026 FIFA World Cup Business Summit. The event is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, from June 15 to June 21.

Organized by the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with its partners, the summit aims to foster business connections and opportunities. The Asantehene's presence underscores the significance of the event and highlights the strong ties between Canada and Ghana.

During his visit, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is expected to address a substantial audience of approximately 40,000 members of the diaspora. This engagement presents a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration, focusing on key projects that will benefit the Ashanti Region, particularly Greater Kumasi.

Recently, on May 20, the Asantehene met with a delegation from Portage Energy Group of Canada at the Manhyia Palace. Discussions centered on his upcoming trip to Canada and the potential impact of various projects. The delegation, including CEO Craig Latimer, CFO Michael Southam, and CCO Stephen Akpakwu, expressed their anticipation for his attendance at the summit.
