Ashin Debuts in Thailand at 50; Jerry Yan Tears Up On Stage

Mayday frontman Ashin marked his 50th birthday by officially debuting in Thailand during the "F✦FOREVER Hengxing Zhicheng" (City of Stars) concert tour. Donning traditional Thai clothing, Ashin shared his excitement on social media, stating, "I am Ashin, I debuted in Thailand!" He expressed gratitude to the Thai audience, noting, "Tonight we exchanged smiles, sweat, and so much love. Your singing, your smiles, your passion are all amazing."

The concert saw Ashin perform solo numbers, including a Coca-Cola commercial song and "Suddenly Miss You So Much." He also joined former F4 members Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, and Vic Chou for collaborative performances of hits like "Meteor Rain" and "Stars Never Forget." Ashin and Jerry Yan performed a duet of "Lover Ah," a performance that deeply moved Yan.

Jerry Yan, also known as Ken Chu, became visibly emotional during his stage time. He spoke to the fans in both English and Mandarin, reflecting on his past struggles with self-expression and a high level of self-esteem that made him fearful of getting hurt. He shared that he now understands it's okay to be imperfect. With Mayday's current tour on a temporary hiatus, Ashin reminded fans that they can catch him during the "City of Stars" performances if they miss him.
