Astana awaits visit by President of Montenegro

Astana is preparing to host the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, for an official visit from June 18 to 20. The visit, extended at the invitation of Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signals a push to deepen bilateral relations.

High-level talks are slated for June 19, where leaders from both nations will engage in discussions focused on bolstering political dialogue. A key agenda item will be exploring avenues for expanding cooperation across various sectors, including trade, economics, investment, and cultural and humanitarian initiatives.

Ahead of the Montenegrin president's arrival, state flags of both Kazakhstan and Montenegro have been prominently displayed along several central streets and avenues in Astana, underscoring the significance of the state visit. The preparations reflect the importance Kazakhstan places on strengthening its international partnerships.
