Astana residents explained where to look for items forgotten in the LRT

Astana's light rail transit system, Tarlan Astana, has addressed passenger concerns about lost items by ensuring all stations are equipped with storage lockers.

Following inquiries on social media about lost and found services, Tengrinews.kz confirmed with the operator, CTS, that a system is in place to manage forgotten belongings. Passengers can approach any station staff member for assistance if they leave items behind in the carriages.

Train operators conduct thorough inspections of the carriages after every journey. Any items found during these inspections are promptly handed over to the station's storage facility. This procedure aims to maximize the chances of passengers recovering their belongings.

According to the CTS press service, the most frequently misplaced items are clothing such as jackets and sweaters, followed by headphones and bags containing personal effects. The transit system, officially named Tarlan Astana, also plans to release new transit cards featuring the name, though existing cards remain valid.
