Aston Martin's Most Radical Version, the DB12 S, Arrives in Mexico

Aston Martin is expanding its S model family with the introduction of the DB12 S in Mexico. This new flagship variant builds upon the DB12, incorporating significant upgrades to power, chassis, braking, design, and overall response.

The DB12 S is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that now delivers 690 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, a 20 hp increase from the standard DB12. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, with Aston Martin also refining the Launch Control system and reducing shift times by over 50%.

These performance enhancements allow the DB12 S Coupé to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 325 km/h. The car offers five driving modes: Wet, GT, Sport, Sport+, and Individual. Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard, improving stopping power and heat resistance while reducing unsprung mass by 27 kg compared to steel brakes.

Visually, the DB12 S is distinguished by a new dual-element front splitter, hood air vents, a fixed rear spoiler, and a new diffuser. A key identifier is the quad exhaust system, tuned specifically to enhance the V8's sound. Optional titanium exhaust components can further reduce weight and increase sound levels. The car rides on 21-inch wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tires developed exclusively for the model. Inside, the grand touring focus remains, complemented by exclusive details like a red anodized aluminum drive mode selector.
