At 45, Natalie Portman becomes a mother for the third time

Natalie Portman has become a mother for the third time at 45, welcoming a child with music producer Tanguy Destable, known professionally as Tpr. People magazine reported that the baby was born in Paris.

Portman already has two children, Aleph, 15, and Amalia, 9, with her former husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The couple announced their divorce in 2024, after months of speculation. Portman and Millepied met while working on Darren Aronofsky’s psychological dance thriller Black Swan, where he served as choreographer.

Portman announced her pregnancy in April. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told the publication. “I am very grateful. I know it is a great privilege and a miracle.” She described the pregnancy as a calmer experience and said she valued each moment.

The actress has kept the baby’s sex and birth date private. Her Instagram account, followed by nearly 10 million people, has offered glimpses of the pregnancy, including a family visit to Disneyland Paris in late June. Portman, who is of Israeli origin and has lived in France for years, was awarded the rank of knight in France’s Legion of Honour this summer.
