At Algiers International Fair, Samsung emphasizes local production and industrial development

Samsung Electronics is showcasing its latest electronic and home appliance products at the 57th Algiers International Fair (FIA), which runs until Saturday at the Safex exhibition center. The company's participation underscores its growing industrial presence and commitment to the Algerian market.

Visitors can explore a range of products, from televisions and mobile devices to smart home equipment, with a special focus on artificial intelligence applications in consumer electronics. A key aspect of Samsung's presence is its local manufacturing efforts. Since launching a partnership with Algerian company Sinova SPA in 2023, Samsung has been involved in the local assembly of various product lines, including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners.

The industrial site in Sétif is currently producing several television models for the national market, and local integration rates are reportedly increasing for certain home appliance categories. Beyond product displays, Samsung is highlighting its vision for local industrial growth, which includes technology transfer, workforce training, and exploring opportunities for exporting to regional markets.
