At least three dead and a dozen injured after two Israeli attacks in Gaza

At least three people were killed and approximately 15 others injured in two separate Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Monday, hospital sources reported. The incidents occurred in Gaza City and Khan Younis, adding to the ongoing casualties in the region.

In Gaza City's Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, an early morning Israeli bombardment struck a residential apartment near the Jordanian Hospital. Mohammad Falah Daghmash and his wife died in the attack, which also caused a fire and injured several others, according to Al Shifa hospital. The residential building was severely damaged.

Later, in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli attack on a utility vehicle in the Al Mawasi area resulted in one death and around 15 injuries. The Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis received the body, and the Al Mawasi field hospital, run by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, treated the injured.

Another Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza shortly after the Khan Younis incident, though the passengers reportedly survived. Additionally, Nasser al-Awawda from Gaza died from shrapnel wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli attack in Al Masdar, according to Al Awda hospital.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, the cumulative death toll has reached 1,066, with 3,445 injured and 797 bodies recovered. The Gaza Ministry of Health states that since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, the total number of Palestinian deaths has climbed to 73,090, with 173,553 injured.
