Athens Offers Six Concerts, Plus One Sold-Out Show, from Sept. 4 to 6

Athens is entering the autumn concert season with a packed programme from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 4 to 6. Performances are scheduled at Technopolis, Lycabettus Theatre, the Theatre of Rocks, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Alexis Minotis open-air theatre in Aigaleo and City Garden Theater.

At Technopolis, Spyros Grammenos will present songs from his career and his new album in a show titled “The September Appointment.” The programme features new arrangements and appearances by mezzo-soprano Ira Katsouda, soprano Chrysa Katsarini, and tenors Aristotelis Rigas and Paris Roupas. The concert starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost 15 euros.

Dimitris Bakoulis and Mariana Katsimicha will perform at City Garden Theater in Galatsi as part of the Baxés Festival. Their set will combine their own songs with selected highlights from the Greek music scene, backed by guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. The show begins at 9 p.m., with tickets priced at 15 euros.

Stavros Xarchakos will bring “Journey into the Light” to Lycabettus Theatre, conducting a large ensemble that includes bouzoukis, accordion, piano and guitars. Giannis Kotsiras and Iro Saia will sing. The concert, which links Xarchakos’s popular songs with the present, has sold out, organizers confirmed to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.

The Theatre of Rocks will host a tribute to composer Apostolos Kaldaras, titled “What Should I Remember, What Should I Forget?” The Apostolos Kaldaras Folk Orchestra will perform with honorary guest Giorgos Dalaras and younger singers. Eleni Tsaliropoulou will appear at the Alexis Minotis open-air theatre in Aigaleo as part of the municipality’s Cultural Route 2026 programme. Her performance, combining her hits with folk and traditional songs, is free to the public.
