Atiku Abubakar arrives Osun for ADC governorship campaign finale

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has arrived in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to lend his support to Dr. Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Abubakar arrived with a delegation of political associates for the grand finale of the ADC's campaign rally ahead of Saturday's governorship election.

In a post on X, Abubakar expressed his commitment to standing with Salaam and the ADC. He stated the delegation's purpose was to make a final appeal to the people of Osun State, urging them to entrust the ADC with the responsibility of delivering purposeful leadership, good governance, and a better future.

I have arrived in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, alongside a delegation of political associates, to stand with our governorship candidate, Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam (Iwaloye), and our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), at the grand finale of our campaign ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

The Osun governorship election is set for Saturday, August 15. The race features incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeking re-election, facing challenges from APC candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and ADC's Salaam, among others. The election has spurred significant political activity, with major contenders intensifying their campaigns. Election officials have confirmed readiness, and security agencies are enhancing preparations for a peaceful process.
