Attending Sanxia National Fitness Games, Lee Chuan-chiu Vows to Accelerate New Taipei Dome City and Promote Sports Culture

New Taipei City mayoral candidate Lee Chuan-chiu participated in the 2026 Sanxia District National Fitness Games, engaging with participants of all ages. The event, organized by the Sanxia District Sports Association, saw over 300 attendees despite the weather.

Although there is wind and rain outside, as soon as I arrived at the event, I could feel everyone's enthusiasm and vitality.

Lee emphasized the importance of sports for public health, particularly in extending healthy lifespans. He stated that if elected mayor, he would prioritize strengthening sports facilities and the overall sports environment in New Taipei. He also expressed a desire to encourage seniors to be more active.

Drawing on his experience, Lee pledged to expedite the "New Taipei Dome City" project, which he envisions as a multi-functional complex for sports and performances. This development aims to boost the overall growth of the Tucheng, Shulin, Sanxia, and Yingge areas, creating a new highlight for New Taipei.
