Attorney General's Office to Examine Suspect Febrie Adriansyah at KPK Detention Center

Indonesia's Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has scheduled an examination of Febrie Adriansyah, the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, who is currently a suspect in a money laundering case. The examination is set to be conducted by investigators from 'Tim 9' at the detention center of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday.

Kejagung had previously transferred Adriansyah's detention to the KPK's facility on July 24. The office cited the need for protection for Adriansyah during the accountability and transparency process, framing the move as a form of synergy with the KPK in handling the case.

Adriansyah was named a suspect in the money laundering case following the discovery of 74 kilograms of gold and Rp543 billion in cash at a house in Sentul. Recently, Kejagung also named two private individuals, Nurman Herin (NH) and lawyer Don Ritto (DR), as suspects for their alleged involvement in the money laundering scheme with Adriansyah.

Rudi Margono, head of Tim 9 and Junior Attorney General for Supervision, stated that the alleged money laundering activities were carried out by Adriansyah in his capacity as a prosecutor or a structural official during his tenure at the Attorney General's Office.
