Audi Unveils Largest SUV, the Q9, Tailored for U.S. Market

Audi has introduced its new flagship SUV, the Q9, marking the brand's entry into the full-size SUV segment. This expansive vehicle, measuring 5.31 meters in length, is specifically engineered to meet the demands of the U.S. market, emphasizing ample space, superior comfort, cutting-edge technology, and dynamic driving performance.

The Q9 boasts a striking "Singleframe" grille and offers two distinct design versions. Inside, it can accommodate seven passengers in its standard configuration, with an optional six-seat layout featuring two independent, electrically adjustable "captain's chairs" in the second row. "With the Audi Q9, we are expanding our portfolio to include our first full-size SUV, which was deliberately developed to meet the needs of our customers in the USA," stated Audi CEO Gernot Döllner. He added, "The Audi Q9 combines state-of-the-art technology, the highest quality, and a spacious interior with a clear focus on comfort and safety. This shows how carefully we listen to our customers and that we continue to strengthen our portfolio in one of our most important markets."

Technological highlights include a panoramic glass roof exceeding 1.5 square meters, offering customizable ambient lighting. Advanced driver-assistance systems are designed to meet premium full-size standards, allowing for semi-autonomous driving at speeds up to 130 km/h. The vehicle also features automatic electric doors that open up to 90 degrees and a multimedia system with an MMI panoramic display incorporating OLED technology and ChatGPT.

In Europe, the Q9 will initially be available with a 299-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 mild-hybrid diesel engine. Further details regarding U.S. market specifications and availability are expected to be announced at a later date.
