However, DC party president João Caldas has indicated that Rebelo is a "closed chapter" for the party, though he agreed to further discussions with Cury. If the alliance with Cury does not materialize, Rebelo is exploring other options, including a run for federal deputy or supporting Ronaldo Caiado's gubernatorial campaign in Goiás.
