Authorities Search for Two Escaped Drug Rehabilitation Center Residents

The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) is intensifying efforts to locate two individuals who escaped from the Dengkil Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (PUSPEN). The escapees are also suspected of stealing a vehicle from a nearby village. The AADK confirmed that the stolen vehicle has been recovered in Beranang and has been transferred to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for further investigation and action.

Datuk Ruslin Jusoh, the Director-General of AADK, stated that a comprehensive search operation is underway, involving close cooperation between AADK and PDRM, to apprehend the two suspects. The agency is committed to a thorough and swift resolution of this incident.

In parallel with the search efforts, AADK has initiated an immediate and in-depth internal investigation. This probe aims to pinpoint the exact cause of the escape, scrutinizing any potential negligence or non-compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The agency has emphasized its commitment to taking firm action against any staff members found to have been negligent.
