Authorities seize 100 suspected drug packages hidden in vehicle in Chiriquí

At least 100 packages of suspected illegal substances were seized at the San Isidro Comprehensive Checkpoint in Chiriquí province, Panama, according to the National Border Service, known as Senafront.

The seizure followed a vehicle inspection conducted by officers from the Fourth Western Brigade and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate. During the search, agents allegedly discovered a double bottom in the car where the packages were being transported.

A 43-year-old person was detained in the operation. The individual and the evidence collected were placed at the disposal of the competent authority for the relevant legal proceedings.
