Aveta launches Vanguard 180 scooter

Aveta Motor Malaysia has introduced the Vanguard 180, a new scooter designed to meet customer demand for a model similar to the successful Vanguard 250 but with a smaller engine capacity. The company reported selling over 5,000 units of the Vanguard 250 since its launch last January.

According to Aveta Group Managing Director Steven Lim, the Vanguard 180 retains the distinctive design, comfort, and adventure-inspired character of its predecessor but is made more manageable for everyday use. "We produce products like what customers want. When we gather with them, we listen to their feelings, what they like and dislike," Lim stated at the launch event in Putrajaya.

He emphasized that price is not the primary factor, but rather introducing a product that truly meets market needs and customer desires. The Vanguard 180 is powered by a 174cc liquid-cooled engine with an automatic CVT transmission, making it suitable for city commutes, highway travel, and weekend rides. It is priced at RM9,398, with the Explorer Pack series costing RM9,698, excluding insurance and road tax.

During the same event, Aveta also unveiled a limited edition of the Vanguard 250, with only 688 units produced, each bearing an individual serial number. This special edition is priced at RM17,188, also excluding insurance and road tax.
