Award-winning students choose architecture at Duy Tan University

Võ Thị Kim Khánh earned 26 out of 30 in mathematics, physics and drawing, then received a 100% tuition scholarship to study architectural design at Duy Tan University.

A graduate of Phu Bai High School in Hue, Kim Khánh said her grandfather inspired her to pursue architecture. She is drawn to the field because it brings together two seemingly different worlds: the logic of mathematics and physics, and the imagination of drawing.

“Mathematics and physics help me see everything more realistically, while drawing helps me nurture a broader imagination, making me more dreamy and optimistic,” she said. “I think a good architect needs both elements.”

Kim Khánh said she does not see gender as a barrier to a career in architecture. She believes women can bring particular sensitivity to color, space and aesthetics, while also facing the professional challenges shared by everyone in the field. She selected Duy Tan as her first choice after being persuaded by its active learning environment, modern facilities and emphasis on practical training.

Ngô Huệ Mẫn has also begun a new path at Duy Tan, entering the interior design program with an entrance scholarship. She won second prize in Da Nang’s city-level student competition during the 2025-2026 school year.

A quiet and reflective student, Huệ Mẫn said she prefers to think carefully, build a strong foundation and keep working until she understands a difficult problem. She hopes to create interior spaces with a distinct personal identity.
