AXA Mansard Honored for Boosting Voluntary Blood Donation in Nigeria

AXA Mansard Insurance Plc has been honored with the Community Hero Award by the Blood Transfusion Centre of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). This recognition celebrates the company's significant contributions to bolstering voluntary blood donation and improving access to life-saving blood for patients across Nigeria.

The award comes at a critical time, as Nigerian healthcare facilities face persistent shortages and heavily rely on voluntary donors. AXA Mansard's initiative stems from consistent employee-led blood donation drives, conducted in partnership with LUTH's Blood Transfusion Centre as part of the company's corporate sustainability and community health efforts. Over the last two years, employees have collectively donated more than 200 pints of blood.
